APR - All purchases will have an APR of 18.49% - 28.49% (Variable) depending on your creditworthiness. There is an introductory 0% APR on balance transfers for the first 18 months. After that it will be an APR of 18.49% - 28.49% (Variable).
Fees - One of the best features about the Citi® Double Cash Card is that is comes with no annual fee. If you are going to be taking advantage of the 0% balance transfer offer, then there will be a fee of either $5 of 3% whichever is greater.
Balance Transfer: Citi Simplicity® Card
If you are looking for a Citi card that has a great balance transfer offer, then look no further than the Citi Simplicity® Card. Not only does the card have the longest balance transfer promotional period, but it also stripped away several fees that no one ever wants to pay.
APR - The Citi Simplicity® Card has one of the longest 0% introductory APR on balance transfers at 21 months. After that, it’s a variable APR of 18.24% - 28.99% (Variable) depending on your creditworthiness.
Fees - The Citi Simplicity® Card has stripped away a majority of the fees that come with other credit cards. There is no annual fee, no late fees and no penalty rate from missed payments. If you are transferring a balance then there is a balance transfer fee of 5% or $5, whichever is greater.
Airline: Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite™ Mastercard®
The Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite™ Mastercard® is not only one of the best airline cards from Citi, but one of their most popular cards in general. This card caters to the frequent American Airlines customer, with a high signup bonus, great reward potential, and a strong package of benefits.
Signup Bonus - The current signup bonus for the Citi® / AAdvantage® Platinum Select® World Elite™ Mastercard® is 50,000 AAdvantage® miles after spending $2,500 within the first three months of being a cardmember.
Rewards - You will earn 2x AAdvantage® miles for every $1 you spend on American Airlines purchases. This could be on airfare itself or purchasing in-flight entertainment. You also earn 2x AAdvantage® miles for every $1 spent at gas stations and restaurants. For every other purchase you will receive 1x AAdvantage® miles.
Added Card Benefits - This card has a long list of added benefits for American Airlines customers. You will receive your first checked bag free for not only yourself, but also up to four travel companions. The card also gives you preferred boarding so that you can get settled in for your seat sooner. For all in-flight food and drink purchases you make with your card, you will receive 25% back in the form of a statement credit.
Fees - There is a $99 annual fee, however it will be waived the first year. You will not have to worry about foreign transaction fees so this card is great to use when traveling outside of the United States. If you are planning to make a balance transfer then the fee is $5 or 3% of the transferred balance whichever is greater.
Travel: Citi Prestige® Card
Someone that takes out a travel credit card is looking for something that rewards them for purchases and helps them earn a discount on their next vacation. It could be a deal on the flight, hotel, or even a rental car. The best general travel credit card from Citi is the Citi Prestige® Card. Over the past month this card has lost some of its valuable benefits, but it’s still an elite card for anyone that does a lot of their shopping on a credit card.
Signup Bonus - New cardholders will receive 40,000 bonus Citi ThankYou® points after they sign up and spend $4,000 within the first three months.
Rewards - This card is one of the most valuable for booking travel reservations because it will reward you with 3X Citi ThankYou points for every dollar that you spend on air travel and hotels. When you are traveling you will also receive free access to Priority Pass airport lounges.
Fees - This card comes with a high $450 annual fee. For some, it’s not going to be worth it, but if you take advantage of the key benefits and spend a decent amount with the card each year, it can be very valuable to have in your wallet. The card is also great to use when traveling because there are no foreign transaction fees.
