Citi Double Cash

There was a time when earning a flat 1% cash back with your credit card was the industry standard. With cash back rewards increasing, those are the cards that tend to never get a second glance because they’re not eye-grabbing anymore. When searching for a new cash-back credit card, consumers are looking for excitement, something that will let a card stand out from the others. This is where the Citi® Double Cash Card, a Credit Cards House advertiser, comes into play.

What You Get

With the Citi® Double Cash Card, you currently won’t receive any gigantic sign-up bonus, but you will earn 2% cash back on purchases. You start by earning 1% cash back on every purchase that you make. It could be a coffee at Starbucks or on a new dishwasher.

But that is only the beginning. Once you actually pay your statement balance, you will earn another 1% cash back. There is no limit to how much you can earn and no confusing categories to sign up for.

With the Citi® Double Cash Card, there are also several other perks that can be very appealing. The best of all is that there is never an annual fee on the card. It also has an introductory APR offer, where you can get 0% interest on balance transfers for the first 18 months. After the intro period, the APR will move to 18.49% - 28.49% (Variable) depending on your creditworthiness. There is an intro balance transfer fee of 3% of the amount of each transfer (minimum $5) within the first four months of account opening. After the intro period, a 5% fee ($5 minimum) of each transfer applies. It’s important to note that you will not receive cash back rewards on a balance transfer.

What You Don’t Get

The Citi® Double Cash Card is a fairly simple card to understand. You know that for each purchase that you make and pay off, you are going to receive 2% cash back. There are some people that are interested in having bonus categories. Most cards that offer bonus categories also have limits on spending each quarter or year. These limits can actually make the bonuses less valuable than the 2% across the board cash-back amount that you can get with the Citi® Double Cash Card.

Bottom Line

If you are looking for a no hassle credit card to add to your wallet then you need to look into the Citi® Double Cash Card. With the ability to earn 2% cash back on any purchase without the worry about paying an annual fee, this card is a great option for nearly everyone.
